Thank You For Giving Us Hope As A Nation – Yvonne Jegede Hails Soldier For Confronting Wike

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has counseled a Nigerian Navy officer, A.M Yerima, for his actions in Abuja.

Twinny News stories that her comments come in the wake of Tuesday’s altercation between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and a naval officer, Lieutenant A. M. Yerima, over the enchancment of a disputed parcel of land in Abuja allegedly linked to a used Chief of Naval Group, Vice Admiral Zubairu Gambo.

Jegede in a post on her Instagram legend, described the officer as representing a “new Nigeria” and credited him with restoring hope and religion in the nation.

She wrote: “The face of a new Nigeria… Thank you for restoring my religion. Thank you for giving us hope as a nation. Thank you for letting us know that every one hope will not be any longer lost.

“I salute you sir. AM YERIMA NIGERIAN NAVY.”

The comments come amid public outrage over a viral video exhibiting the FCT Minister in a heated inequity with a naval officer at a building field in Gaduwa District, Abuja.

Within the video, Wike accused the officer of unlawfully blocking his access to the property, insisting that no one, no topic situation, became above the law.

The officer, nonetheless, maintained that he became acting on superior orders, sparking an trade that has since divided public notion.
