Nollywood actress cum filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has slammed Air Peace after being stranded with several a range of passengers at London Gatwick Airport.
Twinny News reports that Funke, in a submit by her 𝕏 handle, disclosed that passengers, including elderly travellers, were left stranded on the airport for nearly 10 hours with out their baggage, resort accommodation or certain verbal exchange from the airline.
Describing the challenge as unacceptable, Funke Akindele demanded quick action from the airline, stressing that passengers had been ready since 6:30am with after being told a fowl strike had precipitated the delay.
She wrote, “Air Peace, here’s unacceptable. Passengers (including elderly people) were stranded since 6:30am at London Gatwick Airport with out a correct verbal exchange.
“After hours of delay, we were told there used to be a fowl strike and promised a resort. Hours later, people are smooth sitting at baggage claim hungry, exhausted, and with out their baggage.”
In a be conscious-up submit, the film star said many of the passengers are already exhausted and entreated the airline to release the bags and present the resort that it had promised.
She said, “Air Peace, what’s occurring? Since 7am at London Gatwick Airport, and it’s nearly 4pm no baggage, no resort, no correct updates. Passengers are stranded. Other folks are drained and hungry. Free up the bags and lift care of your passengers NOW.”
In response, Air Peace, while expressing empathy, attributed the disruption to factors beyond its take care of watch over.
It added that its team used to be working to present all affected passengers with enough support and entreated them to undergo with it.
The airline said, “Such actions are never intentional as we prioritise safety and operational effectivity, and while we try for on-time departures, obvious factors beyond our take care of watch over can normally motive delays.”
